February 15 & 16, 2009 Winter Outing (Sponsored by the FICC Music Ministry)

The FICC Music Ministry headed by Liza Afable regularly serves in all of the church’s worship services and special events throughout the year. At the end of each year, the FICC music group together with their families all take time out for a retreat to enjoy God’s bounty and marvelous creation. This year, men, women and children involved in the Music Ministry, bravely trekked the Big Bear Mountains with an altitude of 7,000 feet during one of the coldest winter months in February. According to their recollection, the experience was beautiful, enjoyable and peaceful travelling up those rugged snow-capped San Bernardino mountains. As when they were hit by a blizzard on their way down the dangerous, slippery slopes, the main roads were closed and one by one snow-tires breaking, fear of uncertainty crept in. Only then by relying on God’s intervention, His people come to realize of His unfailing wisdom and guidance to those who always call on Him! The journey down unfamiliar grounds was guided all along as each one took care of one another to ensure everyone’s safety and make it safely back home. Praise God for the abundant love and care shown to His people!
