February 14, 2009 “An Evening of Romance”
(A Joint Fellowship of the FICC Youth Ministry and FICC Women’s Ministry)
Congratulations to the FICC Youth Ministry for their dedication and hard work in creating a successful semi-formal Valentine’s dinner presentation on the night of February 14th. “An Evening of Romance” indeed, was a special night to remember, a celebration of hearts and service for one another. The youth showed their gifts and talents by decorating the fellowship hall and turning it into a real fine dining event with their ingenuity, creativeness in the arts, and their serving abilities. As the women of the church showed their great culinary skills in preparing a sumptuous dinner, the youths themselves rendered their own versions of singing to make a fun-filled occasion for everyone. It was a delight to see the men in their black coats gallantly parading and serenading their partner with the song of “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” as each man gives her a kiss and hands her a long-stemmed red rose. What an awesome sight to see brothers and sisters together in love and unity to create something of special meaning and eternal value in God’s kingdom. This remarkable event marks for us, as a church, a rekindling of hearts and filling us with encouragement and hope to strengthen our legacy as a family of God.
